Is It Possible, That There May Be A Link Between Candida And Mental Illness?

I have read numerous reports. Too numerous to mention, that candida is responsible for a ton of health problems. One of those I found interesting is mental illness. I read a report that a Schizophrenic individual was given some natural “Anti-Candida” herbs and supplements. It was said that not only did the person overcome the problem with the yeast infecting their body, but they also had recovered from their mental illness as well! I know that Candida has been blamed for sinusitus, urinary tract infections. Yeast infections (Candida is Yeast) and even a type of fungal menningitis. I have read one story in which a woman died from Candida overgrowth. The yeast actually spread through her entire body and caused heart failure. Why does it seem like Candida is simply “Ignored” as a possibility for the cause of a more serious problem?
